Scott Oliver is an experienced attorney focusing on commercial finance, real estate, and corporate transactions. He provides legal representation to state and national banks engaged in commercial financing. In addition, he assists clients with business and real estate matters such as acquisitions and sales of property, business mergers and acquisitions, lease agreements, entity formation and governance, commercial disputes, contract drafting and negotiations, and compliance issues.

As a closing attorney, Scott works with banks and non-bank lenders involved in Small Business Administration (SBA) and conventional financing. He actively participates in all stages of the lending process. This process includes credit reviews, ensuring compliance and eligibility, perfecting liens, reviewing and negotiating titles, and preparing security instruments and loan documents. He also handles subordination and inter-creditor agreements, workouts, collections, foreclosures, and bankruptcy proceedings. Throughout his career, he has closed hundreds of SBA 7(a) loans, SBA 504 loans, SBA CAPLine loans, and a wide array of conventional financing facilities. Based in the heart of Indianapolis, his team has successfully closed transactions in all 50 states.

Scott Oliver extends his influence beyond legal practice by engaging in education and community service. He teaches Legal Communication and Analysis as an Adjunct Professor at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Active in the Indianapolis Bar Association, he holds leadership roles and organizes community events. Academically accomplished, he graduated with the highest distinction from Purdue University and was the commencement speaker. He earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the same law school where he now teaches. During his studies, he was President of the Student Bar Association, a Moot Court Executive Board member, and Vice Magister of Phi Delta Phi. He also tutored legal research and writing and taught at Shortridge High School in Indianapolis.
