Benjamin Lilien has been practicing matrimonial law since 2007, starting in Seattle and moving to New York in 2010. He has significant experience in settling and litigating cases involving property division, spousal maintenance, custody, visitation, and child support. Additionally, he frequently negotiates and drafts prenuptial, postnuptial, and marital settlement agreements. Mr. Lilien earned his partnership status due to his strong work ethic and understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals undergoing divorce.
Mr. Lilien is licensed to practice in New York and New Jersey and actively participates in the New York County Lawyers and New York State Bar associations. He has lectured at various Bar Association events, including the New York State Bar Association’s “Matrimonial Law Practical Skills: Preparing for and Conducting Party Depositions” program. He has been recognized as a “Super Lawyer” by Super Lawyers Magazine and is listed as one of New York’s “Best Lawyers” in family law.
Mr. Lilien earned his BA with departmental honors in history from Stanford University and his JD from Stanford Law School in 2006. He resides in Brooklyn, New York, with his wife and two sons.
