Domenic is a lawyer-preneur with extensive experience as a Corporate and Entertainment Attorney. His legal practice encompasses various areas, including Business, Employment, Media, and Sports Law. He provides guidance to clients on matters such as Corporate Structuring, Business Divorce, Business Purchases and Sales, Demand Letters, Litigation, Employment Disputes, Licensing, and Complex Contract Negotiation.
Passionate about making the law accessible, Domenic serves as an adjunct professor at Columbia Film School, where he teaches a graduate course on Entertainment Law for Filmmakers, aimed at producers, directors, and screenwriters.
He has been featured as a legal commentator on major networks including NBC, CBS, CNN, CNBC, Yahoo Finance, Sky, FOX Business News, and Bloomberg TV. His insights have also been published in esteemed outlets such as the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Independent, TIME, Entertainment Weekly, and Adweek.

He has been recognized as a New York Metro Super Lawyer every year since 2015 and has been included on their Top 100 list since 2022.
Prior to founding Romano Law PLLC in 2003, Domenic worked as a Corporate Lawyer at various firms, including Jones Day, Hahn & Hessen LLP, and Brown Raysman Millstein Felder & Steiner LLP. He also served as in-house counsel for a biotech company, Pasteur Merieux Connaught in Toronto (now Sanofi Canada).
An active member and former president of the New York Chapter of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), the world’s largest network of business owners, Domenic is also the founder of the international EO Lawyers Group. He has completed the EO Executive Education program at Harvard Business School and is currently participating in the Entrepreneurial Masters Program (EMP) at MIT.
He is affiliated with the New York City Bar Association and the Brooklyn Bar Association and is the founding member of the Business Lawyers Group, the Managing Partners Group, and the Entertainment Lawyers Group in New York City, each providing a diverse network for experienced attorneys.
Domenic is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (TV Academy) and an Emmy voter, actively engaging in events during this “platinum age of television.” He believes shows like The Wire, The Sopranos, The White Lotus, and Breaking Bad are among the best series ever produced.
With parents hailing from Italy, Domenic is tri-lingual, speaking English, Italian, and French. He has completed eight marathons, including those in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Toronto, Vermont, and Rome, as well as over 30 half-marathons. A history enthusiast with a good sense of humor, he takes his pizza seriously—preferring it without pineapple.
