Mr. Jacobson specializes in employment-based immigration for corporate clients across various sectors, including financial services, media, information technology, and market research/advertising. He offers strategic advice on obtaining work visas and permanent residency for employees and prospective hires. His expertise includes preparing all necessary forms for nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions, such as B-1/B-2, E-2, E-3, H-1B, H-3, J-1, L-1A/L-1B, O-1, P-1 (for athletes and entertainers), TN, as well as EB-1 (all categories), EB-2 (including exceptional ability), EB-3 petitions, and PERM applications.
Additionally, Mr. Jacobson advises clients on I-9 employment compliance issues and other administrative employment immigration matters, including the preparation and maintenance of Labor Condition Applications (LCA).
He also assists individual clients with family-based immigration issues, such as I-130 immigrant petitions, permanent residence interviews, and U.S. naturalization applications.
Mr. Jacobson has contributed written commentary on business immigration law and has participated in numerous industry conferences. He is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyer Association’s Department of Labor Liaison Committee.
