Greg focuses on resolving intricate construction disputes through negotiation, mediation, and, when necessary, arbitration and litigation, working on projects in New York, across the U.S., and internationally. He often handles claims related to breach of contract, construction and design defects, liens, delays, bonds, and insurance matters, representing some of the country’s largest contractors in various construction projects, including building and power plant developments.
A significant part of Greg’s work involves addressing challenging projects proactively, aiming to find business solutions before issues escalate into disputes. When required, he leverages his extensive experience to represent clients vigorously in state and federal courts, as well as before mediators and arbitration panels.
He regularly conducts training sessions for construction industry organizations and clients, drawing on his 30 years of experience to provide practical guidance that helps project teams manage risks and resolve disputes effectively.
Due to his achievements, Greg has consistently been recognized by Chambers USA in Construction Law (Band 1), New York Super Lawyers-Metro in Construction Litigation, The Legal 500, Who’s Who Legal, and ALM Martindale Hubbell (AV Rated). He was honored as the “Lawyer of the Year” in construction law in New York City by Best Lawyers for 2022.
Since 2021, he has served as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University’s School of Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics, teaching a course on Preventing and Resolving Complex Construction Disputes.
Greg is licensed to practice in New York, New Jersey, and several U.S. District Courts, including the Southern, Eastern, and Northern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan and his law degree from Hofstra University School of Law.
